- Vintage wind-up fire alarm bell in good condition with wear and tear from age, use, and storage. Light surface wear throughout. Unit seems to wind up good and tight and alarm bell rings loud (only wound one turn to test and alarm bell rang out; I was unable to wind more–didn’t have the strength to keep turning past one turn) but am not familiar with how these units actually work, so selling in AS IS condition, unknown, untested working condition. The metal casing has a large dent in the lower back edge, and there may be a cap or plate or something missing from the front center medallion’s center pin (see pics). Nice little vintage mid century fire alarm bell for both engineering students to learn from, as well as fire equipment collectors.
