Description:

Fabulous farmhouse find–a stash of vintage cotton feedsack fabric dating from the 1920s to the 1950s.  This listing is only a part of that stash of 50 whole feedsacks, some intact, some opened, with 20 different colors and designs among the 50, and many duplicate colors and patterns.  Watch for new feedsack listings in the coming days.

There is only 1 whole feedsack of this exact color and pattern available in this listing.

**The last few pictures in the listing show the whole stash of 50 feedsacks, available in separate listings. If you see one that you’re interested in that is not yet listed, let me know.**

  • Vintage Cotton Feedsack Fabric Red Blue Stylized Leaves on White Whole Sack 1920s-1950s Sewing Material
  • This listing is for one whole feedsack; total of 1 feedsack available in this pattern and color
  • 1 whole feed sack with sewing intact
  • Red and blue stylized leaves design on white; novelty print
  • Feedsack fabric circa 1920s-1950s
  • Whole sewn feedsack measurement 20.5” wide doubled x 34.5” high
  • Weighs 5 ozs.
  • Condition specific to this listing:  One whole feed sack in good condition with no holes or tears, but large stains, somewhat faded, and seem to be mainly on the folded areas.  Heavy musty, mildew smell–have not been laundered.
  • These feedsacks were salvaged from an old farmhouse slated for demolition, along with many other vintage and antique items.  The previous owner was obviously a farmer’s wife who had access to loads of feedsack, and a prolific sewer, as many other boxes of fabric and hand-sewn clothes were retrieved here.  This lot contains 50 feedsack bags, all whole sacks, some intact, and some with stitching removed.  Most of these seem to have been laundered and ironed at some point in the past by the farmer’s wife, but have been boxed up and abandoned in the old farmhouse for decades.  None of these have been laundered, some contain age-yellowing and storage and fold stains and soiling from who knows what, AND ALL SMELL HEAVILY OF MUST AND MILDEW, though only one or two actually have mildew stains.  Most of these whole feedsacks are in very good to excellent condition, but a few have tears, rips, holes, flaws, or stains.  I have inspected these and have tried to describe any issues or flaws, but may have missed some.  I’m selling these AS IS–if you have any questions, please ask before purchasing, as I do not offer returns.

Please see pictures for best indication of condition, and ask any questions before bidding or buying.
