Lot of 14 vintage silvered and unsilvered Christmas ornaments, two with paper cap or hanger, date back to the 1940s, during WWII, when silver and metals were rationed for the war effort.
- Vintage Christmas Ornaments Silvered Unsilvered WWII Era USA Lot 14 1940s 1950s
- Lot includes both silvered and unsilvered ornaments, solids, stripes, indents, stencils, spinner tops; all but one were made in the USA, one made in Germany
- All but three are marked; the two with paper cap or hanger are unmarked, and one metal cap is unmarked; the rest have various markings including Shiny Brite USA and Made in U S of A.
- This lot of ornaments have all been wiped clean with a wet cloth which removed the most of the color finish on all of these ornaments--they are being sold in AS IS AS PICTURED condition, with heavy color losses, as shown.
- One of these has a paper hanger and one of these has a paper cap, rather than metal ones, common during the war years

- Lot of 14 vintage glass Christmas ornaments in fair condition with heavy color losses and a few with damage. This lot includes both silvered and unsilvered ornaments. Since they were very dirty, they were cleaned with a wet cloth which removed most of the color from most of these ornaments--see pics. The silver indent has a hole in it, as shown; also, the unsilvered one with the paper hanger is broken and jagged at the neckline. The original box is very dirty and crumpled and torn with losses, shown here to verify date of ornaments, and will be included in sale. Selling these ornaments AS IS, AS PICTURED, with loss of color, finish, and with some being damaged; priced accordingly.
