Thick 1-inch pine (and possibly also black walnut) plank construction using square nails
Hand-hewn on back of dresser
Five drawers total--two small over three large; drawers open and close easily
Bottoms of drawers are plank wood
Decorative cast iron drawer pulls; one pull is broken and pieces are included inside drawer
Decorative cut headboard and bottom apron; top header has a clover cutout
Original reddish brown glazed finish, heavy finish wear mainly on top
Dresser has been cleaned and waxed
Circa late 1800s
High boy dresser measures 43" high (48" to top of back-board) x 39" wide x 20" deep

Condition:
Antique pine plank high boy dresser in very good condition with age appropriate wear and tear. Original reddish brown glazed finish with wear, especially on top, crazing throughout. Missing one original decorative cast iron drawer pull (pieces of the original broken pull and screws are included inside drawer). Beautiful, thick plank wood construction, may be a mix of pine and black walnut. All wood fully intact except for some narrow losses on sides of one or two legs. Drawers open and close easily. Beautiful, sturdy, hand-hewn primitive dresser would present well in rustic homes and in rooms other than bedrooms, if so desired. Dresser has been cleaned and waxed.
