Condition:
Antique pedestal ashtray smoking stand in good condition with wear and losses from age and use; project piece--needs some restoration TLC. There appears to be something missing on the top edge of the stand--I'm guessing it's match-holder hardware. Also, from other similar stands I've seen, there was probably an insert bowl ashtray that set inside this bowl, probably made of copper or brass, which has long since been lost. The finish is aged and worn to a beautiful, darkened patina; there are remnants of gold painted highlights on the base. The stand is very lightweight--the wood is dried out from age; and there are significant wood losses on the bottom and on side of base, as shown. Still stands up, though lightweight and will tip easily due to drying and loss of wood on bottom. Needs a little TLC to bring it back to its full glory. Selling AS IS AS DESCRIBED, and needing restoration; priced accordingly.
